Saturday (the “Company”, “we”, “us”, “our”) is committed to maintaining robust privacy protections for its users (“you”, “customer”, “your”). Our Privacy Policy (“Privacy Policy”) is designed to help you understand how we collect, use, and safeguard the information you provide to us and to assist you in making informed decisions when using our Service.
Your use of our Service is at all times subject to our Terms of Use, which incorporates this Privacy Policy. By accessing our Service through our Website (the “Site”) , you accept our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use (found here), and you consent to our collection, storage, use, and disclosure of your Personal Data, including Non-Personal Information and Personal Information as described in this Privacy Policy. Any terms we use in this Policy without defining them have the definitions given to them in the Terms of Use.
DEFINITIONS
For the purposes of this Privacy Policy:
- Account means a unique User Account created by you and through which you access our Service or parts of our Service and through which you may receive communications from our Service. The following pertain to a User Account:
- Creation of your User Account requires your acceptance of the Terms of Use.
- Your User Account will be associated with a membership with our Service.
- You may disassociate your User Account from your membership without deleting your account.
- You may delete your User Account through the Site. Your log in credentials will be deleted immediately. There may be a lag in deleting data associated with your User Account from all of our servers and repositories.
- You may pre-register your User Account to a membership waitlist.
- Company (referred to as either “the Company”, “Saturday”, “we”, “us” or “our” in this Privacy Policy) refers to Monotony.ai, Inc., 480 Pleasant St, Suite A310, Watertown, MA 02472, (DBA “Saturday”).
- For the purpose of the GDPR, the Company is the Data Controller.
- Cookies are small files that are placed on your computer, mobile device, or any other device by a website, containing the details of your browsing history on that website among its many uses.
- Data Controller, for the purposes of the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation), refers to the Company as the legal person which alone or jointly with others determines the purposes and means of the processing of Personal Information.
- Device means any device that can access the Service such as a computer, a cellphone, a smartwatch, or a digital tablet.
- Do Not Track (DNT) is a concept that has been promoted by US regulatory authorities, in particular the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC), for the Internet industry to develop and implement a mechanism for allowing Internet users to control the tracking of their online activities across websites.
- Membership means an active subscription paid for in monthly installments by a user account associated with the membership. A membership will be associated with with an address for pick up and delivery of subscription box(es).
- Personal Data is any information that relates to an identified or identifiable individual, including information referred to as “personally identifiable information” or “Personal Information” under applicable data privacy laws, rules or regulations.
- Processing Facility (e.g., wash center) is any location at which your laundry is received for handling and processing by our Service.
- Service refers to the Company’s Site and services accessed via the Site. Services include at least establishing user accounts and managing laundry pick up, delivery, and treatment and handling within one of the Company’s processing facilities (e.g., wash centers).
- Service Provider means any natural or legal person who processes the data on behalf of the Company. It refers to third-party companies or individuals employed by the Company to facilitate the Service, to provide the Service on behalf of the Company, to perform services related to the Service or to assist the Company in analyzing how the Service is used. For the purpose of the GDPR, Service Providers are considered Data Processors.
- Subscription box means a box provided by Saturday under the membership and within which you submit laundry articles for pick up, processing, and return. The laundry articles may be yours personally or may belong to another person or persons. Through the use of our Service, you accept the terms and conditions of this Privacy Policy as they pertain to you and any other person whose laundry you submit in your subscription box.
- Usage Data refers to data collected automatically, either generated by the use of the Service or from the Service infrastructure itself (for example, the duration of a page visit).
- Website or “Site” refers to the Company’s website which can be accessed at https://yaysaturday.com.
- You (referred to as either “You” or “the User” in this Agreement) means the individual with a User Account who is accessing or using the Site or our Service, on the individual’s behalf and/or on behalf of one or more persons to whom laundry articles within a subscription box belong.
Under GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation), you can be referred to as the Data Subject or as the User as you are the individual using the Service.
I. COLLECTING AND USING YOUR PERSONAL DATA
We collect “Non-Personal Information” and “Personal Information.” “Non-Personal Information” includes information that cannot be used to personally identify you, such as anonymous usage data, general demographic information. We may collect, referring/exit pages and URLs, platform types, preferences you submit and preferences that are generated based on the data you submit and number of clicks.
1. INFORMATION PROVIDED BY YOU
Personal Information includes information that you submit to us while using our Service and/or through the pre-registration and membership activation processes at the Site. This information may include but is not limited to the following items:
- Email address
- First name and last name
- Phone number
- Address, State, Province, ZIP/Postal code, City
- Payment data
- Other information you voluntarily provide to us through emails, text messages, and free form text boxes through the Service or through responses to surveys or questionnaires
To subscribe to a new membership with the Service you will need to create a User Account. You can register a User Account with or without subscribing to the Service (e.g., pre-register for the purpose of joining a membership wait list). By pre-registering a User Account and/or activating a membership with the Service and entering some or all of your email address, residential address (i.e., a residential address for pick up and delivery of your subscription box(es)), a valid form of payment, and a phone number capable of receiving text messages, you are authorizing us to collect, store and use your email address, residential address, your payment information, and your phone number in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
2. INFORMATION COLLECTED VIA TECHNOLOGY
a. USAGE DATA
Usage Data is collected automatically when using the Service.
Usage Data may include information such as your Device’s Internet Protocol address (e.g. IP address), browser type, browser version, the pages of our Service that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages, unique device identifiers and other diagnostic data.
When you access the Service by or through a mobile device, we may collect certain information automatically, including, but not limited to, the type of mobile device you use, your mobile device unique ID, the IP address of your mobile device, your mobile operating system, the type of mobile Internet browser you use, unique device identifiers and other diagnostic data.
We may also collect information that your browser sends whenever you visit our Service or when you access the Service by or through a mobile device.

In addition to the Personal Information you provide when activating and interacting with the Service, in an effort to improve the quality of the Service, we track information (“tracking technologies”) provided to us by your browser or by our software application when you view or use the Service. This information may include the website you came from (known as the “referring URL”), the type of browser you use, the device from which you connected to the Service, the time and date of access, and other information that does not personally identify you.

The Site and the Service are not directed to anyone under the age of 18. A parent who has already given the Company permission to collect and use his/her/their child’s personal information can, at any time:

- Discontinue further collection or use of the child’s personal information

4. PHOTOGRAPHS
By using our Service, you consent to our robots imaging your laundry articles within our Processing Facilities, which images may be stored indefinitely in a photograph repository, such as the cloud and/or on a local server, and associated with your Personal Information for a limited time.
Our Service may retain images of your laundry articles in a secure location without attribution to your Personal Information, with the exception of genericized clothing descriptors, for the purposes of continuously training and improving performance of our robots to handle clothing articles autonomously. The retained images may be sent to a third-party image tagging service provider.
Unless requested sooner through hello@yaysaturday.com, photographs may be associated with your Personal Information for a maximum of 90 days, at which point the photographs will be either deleted entirely or the pointer to personal information will be deleted from the photograph repository. We will retain these photographs for purposes such as the following:
1) responding to customer service requests regarding particular articles;
2) identifying receipt of one or more particular articles; and
3) enabling customer review of items sent and received by our Service.
II. HOW WE USE AND SHARE INFORMATION
1. PERSONAL INFORMATION:
Except as otherwise stated in this Privacy Policy, we do not sell, trade, rent or otherwise share for marketing purposes your Personal Data and Information with third parties without your consent. We do share Personal Information with vendors who are performing services for the Company, such as the servers for our email communications who are provided access to a User’s email address for purposes of sending emails from us. Those vendors use your Personal Information only at our direction and in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
In general, the Personal Information you provide to us is used to help us communicate with you. For example, we use Personal Information to contact users in response to questions, solicit feedback from users, provide technical support, and inform users about promotional offers.
Under certain circumstances, the Company may be required to disclose your Personal Information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g., a court or a government agency). We may share Personal Information with outside parties if we have a good-faith belief that access, use, preservation or disclosure of the information is reasonably necessary to meet any applicable legal process or enforceable governmental request; to enforce applicable Terms of Service, including prevention or investigation of potential violations; address fraud, security or technical concerns; to protect and defend the rights or property of the Company; to protect against legal liability; or to protect against harm to the rights, property, or safety of our users or the public as required or permitted by law.
a. USAGE
The Company may use Personal Information for at least the following purposes:
- To provide and maintain our Service, including the following activities:
- Monitoring the usage of our Service
- Using your residential address to route our delivery vehicles
- Storing and using pictures of your laundry articles in machine learning applications to improve functionality of our robots
- Improving user experiences
- Improving our Service, including machine learning, testing, research, and internal analytics
- To enable you to manage your account: The Personal Information you provide can give you access to different functionalities of the Service that are available to you as a user having a User Account.
- For the performance of a contract; for the development, compliance and undertaking of a purchase contract for the products, items, or services you have purchased or of any other contract with us through the Service
- To contact you by email, telephone calls, SMS, or other equivalent forms of electronic communication, such as mobile application push notifications regarding updates or informative communications related to the functionalities, products, or contracted services, including security updates, when necessary or reasonable for their implementation.
- To provide you with news, special offers and general information about other goods, services, and events which we offer that are similar to those that you have already purchased or enquired about unless you have opted not to receive such information
- To manage your requests; To attend and manage your requests to us, including with you and messaging a friend you invited to sign up for our service using contact information you provided to us
- To deliver targeted advertising to you: We may use your information to develop and display content and advertising (and work with third-party vendors who do so) tailored to your interests and/or location and to measure its effectiveness.

The Company will retain your Personal Information only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. We will retain and use your Personal Information to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations (for example, if we are required to retain your data to comply with applicable laws), resolve disputes, and enforce our legal agreements and policies.
We will also retain Usage Data for internal analysis purposes. Usage Data is generally retained for a shorter period of time, except when this data is used to strengthen the security or to improve the functionality of our Service, or when we are legally obligated to retain this data for longer time periods.

e. DELETION OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
You have a right to request that we delete the Personal Information that we have collected about you subject to certain exceptions. Once we receive and confirm your request, we will take steps to delete (and direct Our Service Providers to delete) your Personal Information from our records, unless an exception applies. We may deny your deletion request if retaining the information is necessary for us or our Service Providers to:

2. NON-PERSONAL INFORMATION
In general, we use Non-Personal Information to help Us improve the Service and customize the user experience. We may create de-identified, or anonymized data from the Personal Information we collect, including by removing information that makes the data personally identifiable to a particular user. We also may aggregate Non-Personal Information in order to track trends and analyze use patterns on the Site. This Privacy Policy does not limit in any way our use or disclosure of Non-Personal Information, and we reserve the right to use and disclose such Non-Personal Information to our partners, advertisers, and other third parties at our discretion.

The Company reserves the right to change this policy and Our Terms of Service at any time.
